Herman R. Tate Memorial Scholarship

2.5 GPA. Must have completed 12 units at Golden West College and enroll in a minimum of 12 units at GWC or a State College or University in the Fall.

Mr. Tate was a lifelong Orange County resident who started a three-car taxicab company in 1956 and steadily expanded it to become the Coast Yellow Cab Company covering nine cities. He will be remembered as a strong supporter of humanitarian causes.
