Dr. William Carpenter Scholarship

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must serve on the E-board for ASGWC.

This scholarship was established in honor of Dr. William Carpenter by his colleagues and the Associated Students of Golden West College. He began his career at GWC as Vice President of Student Affairs, and became a Vice President of College Services and served in that position from 1973 to 1995. He then spent his last three years of college from 1995 to 1998 as a counselor. Dr. Carpenter’s lifelong commitment to students and education has been demonstrated through his extensive involvement with and impact on the entire campus.
