William Bumm Memorial Scholarship

An eligible pre-law student; if no pre-law student is in the applicant pool, any eligible student with an emphasis on financial need.
William Bumm spent his childhood years in orphanages and left school in the ninth grade. He entered the Air Force and retired 27 years later as a full colonel. He never forgot his limited education. After retiring from the Air Force, he enrolled at GWC, went on to earn a Juris Doctorate in 1978, and practiced law until 1985. His many friends and family established the scholarship in Bill’s memory. Joanne, Bill’s wife, is a retired GWC employee.
