Peggy Staggs Memorial Scholarship

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; open to a student with at least one minor dependent living with them.

Peggy Staggs taught U.S. History at Golden West College from its opening for over 20 years. After marrying and having four children, she went to college beginning when her youngest children were toddlers. She studied at Orange Coast College and CSU Fullerton, earning bachelors and masters degrees. She enjoyed teaching young adults, particularly those who returned to school after a gap in their education.
