Elizabeth Spencer Memorial Tutorial Scholarship

Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; Must have completed at least 12 units at Golden West College and enroll in a minimum of 12 units at GWC or a 4- year transfer university in the Fall; for students reciving tutoring at GWC.

Elizabeth “Beth” Spencer had a motto that “life is a learning experience” and she took advantage of every opportunity to live her life to the fullest. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, mentor, and tutor. Those who were touched by her were keenly aware of her faith, a faith that made her the person she was. Her faith taught her to respect the worth and dignity of every person, to fight for justice, equity and compassion in human relations, to support the democratic process, to protect our environment, and to advocate for peace, liberty, and justice for the entire world’s people..
