Vida Greer-Martin "Life Is Good" Memorial Scholarship

3.0 GPA; completed a minimum of 12 units at GWC; demonstrate that they have provided service to campus life; required to write a “Life is Good” essay not to exceed 500 words.

Vida Greer-Martin was more than a friend to those who worked with her in the Student Activities Office; Vida was a friend to Golden West College; she was a mentor, a second mother, a moral compass, and a fellow student leader. Having served as a member of Student Council in 2001-2002 and 2003-2004, Vida offered her experience as a student leader to those following in her footsteps. The Associated Students of Golden West College established this scholarship in tribute to Vida following her sudden death on September 1, 2010. When asked how her day was going, Vida would always respond, “Life Is Good.”
