Marjorie Shane Memorial Scholarship

A student who is either in a career or transfer program with a 2.5 GPA; must have completed 12 units at Golden West College and enroll in a minimum of 12 units at GWC or a state college or university in the Fall.

The Shane family has always been a strong supporter of education. This scholarship, in memory of Marjorie Shane, is to be granted to a student in either a career or transfer program. As a former student at Golden West College who went on to study at California State University Long Beach, Marjorie Shane knew that community college provides a solid step on the path to educational success. This scholarship honors Marjorie’s memory and will continue her commitment to helping students achieve their educational goals.
