Roscoe E. Lancaster Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for an outstanding student who has finished or is currently enrolled in Chemistry 110. Science major
Roscoe Lancaster was a charter member of the Golden West College faculty, who helped build the Physical Science Department from the ground up. He guided the physical sciences group and was involved in building the respected department that it is today. In the early seventies, he joined the on-campus experiments with Audio-Tutorial instruction and converted the General Education Chemistry course to A-T mode. He taught this course through much of his career and was teaching it when he retired in January 2001. Upon his death in April 2002, his colleagues and friends established this scholarship to help some of the students to whom he dedicated his professional life.
