Dan Wiseman Memorial Scholarship

2.0 GPA or higher; Physical Education major
The handball spirit was embodied in Dan Wiseman. A motto he adopted was “Live Longer, Play Handball,” which he did until shortly before his life was taken from him by cancer. If that motto had read, “Live Better, Play Handball,” that would have been very true in Dan’s case. Dan lived life with great enthusiasm. He was an exemplary family man who was involved in every aspect of family life. Of all of Dan’s enthusiasms, none brought him greater joy than handball. His friends from the University Athletic Club in Newport Beach, where he had been a member for a number of years, have honored him for the man he was and for his love of handball, with an endowed scholarship in his memory.
