Doris Jean Zwick Memorial Scholarship

Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; Students in Business Accounting or Office Management. Must be in at least their 2nd semester at GWC.
Must complete a short essay addressing the following: Why I am pursing a degree in Business Accounting or Office Management.

In 1941, when leaving high school, Doris Jean Zwick knew she loved office management and bookkeeping. She excelled in her entry-level secretarial jobs, often “training” new hires on the accounting procedures they would need for a job she was already doing; she also saw the difference in salary on the payroll. How often she said, even at the age of 95, “I wish I would have pursued accounting in college, but in that era, I was not encouraged to try.” This scholarship is meant to encourage a students to do what she did not.
